Aiko enjoys toasted peanut butter and honey sandwiches, playing ukulele, watching people on TheBus, dancing, pastries, hiking, syncopation, all kinds of tea, the rush when you catch the wave, highlighters and post-its, passionate people, the shape of the world in different languages, dim sum, stories, story-tellers, and the color and weight of the sunlight around 5:00 in the afternoon.
She also likes when new ideas make her uncomfortable.
She loves meaning.
Aiko is currently interested in learning more about local literature, geography, music theory, hula, critical and alternative pedagogies, the best spots to eat, the relationship between art and revolution, stories embedded in these islands, rhetoric, tourism theory, movie-making, multilingual texts, and most of all the connections between everything.
And she went to Castle High School.
