Associate Design Editor: Priscilla Ortiz
Priscilla's special interest are contemporary oil paint portraiture, photography, and highly innovative digital art. She utilizes art as an experimental language; a fusing of marks with content. The constructions are three-dimensional wall pieces created from monotypes, large oil portraits on canvas, fine art photography, stylized digital art prints, and mixed media pieces.
Priscilla was an art director for several record companies after which she moved on to pursue a career in the arts. She still works with several musicians and artists as a freelance designer and photographer. She moved to Oahu to work on an oil portrait series as well as three-dimensional multi-media wall pieces called "shadowboxes" which include monotypes and original music.
While living on the island of Oahu she received her BFA and Minor in Philosophy from the University of Hawaii. She has had recent solo exhibitions at Ong King Gallery, Honolulu; her work was in the collection at the Bar 35 Dollhouse event which featured notable female artists; and in 2009 her photography was featured in Spectrum Art Journal. Priscilla is also one of the founders of Light Verse Studios, a graphic and multi-media design company. http://www.cillaspace.com/
