A free lecture by the Hula Preservation Society. Join us to see how ancient implements are used to tell stories in the traditions of the late great masters Auntie Nona Beamer and Uncle George Naope. Experience the use of implements rarely seen today, and learn how each hula line has its own repertoire and manner of utilizing these implements.
The Art Lunch Lecture Series is presented by the Hawai‘i State Foundation on Culture and the Arts and the Friends of the Hawai‘i State Art Museum, on the last Tuesday of the month.
